Celebrate NC’s very own Jeffery Beam with music composed using his poetry as lyric and inspiration! The program is being curated by soprano Andrea Edith Moore who is a passionate advocate for contemporary vocal chamber music.
On the occasion of Jeffery’s 70th birthday, Mallarme will perform chamber music by Tony Solitro “Loves’ Astronomy,” Frank E. Warren A Garden of Flowers (excerpts), Daniel Thomas Davis’s “Porch Song,” Steven Serpa The Creatures, Bo Newsome Evocation, Questions, and Nocturne and Lee Hoiby’s Life of a Bee.
The performance will include projections of An Elizabeathan Bestiary by Ippy Patterson and poetry readings by Jeffery Beam!
